It was a bit of a shock to lose Alexis this week, although I wasn’t surprised that the judges didn’t use their save.

Speaking of the judges’ save, I’d like to introduce a parallel bonus challenge. Starting now, guess who the judges will save for major bonus points. You can only guess once, and you can never change your guess. You don’t have to guess right away, but the earlier you guess the more points you earn. A correct guess entered before the elimination show on the 26th will earn 100 points. The reward drops by 10 points each week after that. Who do you think will get the save‽

Now for the results. Nobody guessed that Alexis would be eliminated, with most of our league targeting Michael Sarver for the axe. I’d like to remind those folks of Season 7’s Amanda Overmyer’s voting block.

Six players lost Alexis this week, she was the 5th most drafted Idol. Only Jim, Becky, and Sarah have their 5 Idols intact. Remember you earn 5 points for each of your players that makes it through the elimination show. Standings are updated on the right.

The top 13 performance show was big fun. There were some surprise highs and lows. A few teams have taken a hit already and things are getting tighter at the top - there’s a new #1 in town!

The next few weeks will run the same as this past one did. Please submit your guess for who’s off before the elimination show airs. Remember you earn 4 points for guessing an elimination and 5 points for each of your Idols who makes it through an elimination show.

Now, a request that I think will make things fun:
So you can see what you’re up against, I plan to post a list of everyone’s teams. I’d like to include a small photo next to each , so please send a picture to represent you. It can be a self-portrait or really any image at all. Just remember it’ll be the target of your opponents’ loathing for the remainder of our competition. j/k.

Excellent work by many players this week, all three winners were guessed by Kristen, Tony, Alex, Laila, and Kelly. Our league competition is tightening up just as the on-screen battle is doing the same. Current standings are updated on the right.

Now it’s time to pick your team! Before the next show airs, please reply with a list of 5 Idols who will represent you for the remainder of the season. There are two ways to earn points from here until the top 5:
1. One of your Idols makes it through to the next week: 4 pts
2. You guess the Idol(s) eliminated in a week: 5 pts each

Each week, before the elimination show, send in your guess for which Idol(s) will be eliminated.

Once we reach the Top 5, you’ll have a chance to adjust your team a bit (no picking new Idols, but you’ll be able to put more points behind certain team members.)

I have to say I found last night’s performances a bit spotty.. I was surprised that a few of the singers made it as far as they did. I also was surprised that Scott still won’t let them do his hair. I mean, it might not bother him but seriously.. trust those of us with eyes dude. There were also some great performances, I think we got a look at some Idols who will be with us for a while.

And now for last week’s results… Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, and Kris Allen (?!) advance to the top 12. Two people guessed all three of the winners! Kelly (welcome Kelly, you’re a little behind from just joining but if you keep up the pace you’re in the running!) and Becky managed to guess all three winners.
